One of the outstanding Soviet teachers was Anton Semyonovich Makarenko, who determined the further movement of pedagogical thought of the 20th century, but, alas, his methodology was never recognized by his contemporaries. I must say that this did not upset the teacher at all. He devoted a lot of time to his wards. This brought respectable results: teenagers from the colony changed for the better, ceased to be uncontrollable.
Anton Makarenko believed that the collective is the best environment for comfortable personal development. In addition, physical labor is an important condition.
It is important that teenagers can earn for their own needs. Today, many will take it for atavism, but a sense of responsibility, a sense of camaraderie, a love of work will always be relevant, no matter how much time has passed.
This outstanding teacher of the USSR was often criticized for his methodology, but he was faithful to it, never deviated from his principles, but only published newly written books. For example, the "Pedagogical Poem" tells stories about the fate of juvenile delinquents, certain conclusions are drawn that are applicable in various educational situations and at the present time.
