Use to be, there + be or to have in the correct form:

In most countriesthere is onlyonly one legal profession. -
This means that all lawyershave roughly the same professional education leading to the same legal qualification. -
In England the system is different. -
Solicitors and barristers are both qualified lawyers, but they have a different legal training, and once they are qualified they usually do different types of legal work. -
This is why it is said that there are two “branches” of the legal profession. -
English lawyers are either solicitors or barristers. -
They cannot be both at the same time, but it is possible for a solicitor to become a barrister and for a barrister to become a solicitor. -
