I’m going to miss all the wonderful friends I made at the company. How are things without me? I started work at my new place on Monday. The commute is a lot shorter. But we’re really busy at the moment. A lot of things are still in boxes - including the computer - so I can’t email at the moment. We’re enjoying learning a new language. In fact, many of the Swiss speak English (and French and Italian!) so communicating in shops isn't difficult. Television is a bit harder! I watched the German "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?' the other night. I think I got two questions correct, but I don't know! Victoria sends her love – she’s cooking something Swiss at the moment. I hope that we will meet again soon and repeat our adventure. How is everything? My family and I moved to Toronto, Canada. We live in the suburbs in a big house, but the center is very close, so there is no sense of village life. My brother and I used to live in the same room, but now we each have our own. And we also have a huge courtyard with a swimming pool. I do not know why we bought a house with a swimming pool if it is cold in Toronto most of the year. We moved just a month ago when Dad got a work permit in Canada. A company offered him a job here, he is a programmer. I don't know exactly what he does, but he develops some financial programs. Finding a job is one of the difficulties that everyone faces. But how can a person find a job? First, you need to decide on the purpose of finding a job. It's one thing if a person is just looking for a side job, but it's quite another if a person chooses a profession for his future life. Then you can start looking for a job. Now there are many sites where there are vacancies. These vacancies can be sorted as you need; salary, work experience, functions and responsibilities. You can also ask your friends about work. They can recommend something. There is another way - the employment center. Unfortunately, in such centers I do not always offer a well-paid job, and some work does not even require education, but sometimes there is a good job in such centers. There are quite a few ways to find a job. The most important thing is to be patient.

I am writing about a vacancy in a hotel. I know several languages: English, French and German. I have no experience working in a hotel, but at the institute I took several courses in hotel management. I am quite a responsible person, I get along well with people, I am stress-resistant and able to solve problems as quickly as possible. I have heard a lot of good reviews about your hotel, so I dream of working with you.

I have a few questions about this vacancy. Your chain has several hotels in the UK. What kind of hotel are we talking about? I also don't have a work permit in the UK. Can you get me a work visa? I understood from the ad that you are offering an internship, but is it paid and is there a chance that I will get a full-time job after completing the internship? If we pay for the internship, what salary will I receive?

It seems to me that there is no big problem with unemployment in Russia. It's silly to deny that it doesn't exist at all, but the situation is not so critical. But everything needs to be done to improve the situation even more. It is necessary to increase salaries, because many people are quitting just because of low salaries. Also, the market is crowded with some specialists. It would be possible to create state programs to send such people to work in other countries, where there are just not enough such special specialists. But Russia is doing a lot to solve the problem of unemployment. Various centers are being created where people can easily find work. There are also many retraining programs that allow people to become in-demand specialists. Moreover, the government creates various benefits and indexes salaries to solve the problem of low wages and reduce unemployment
